Joby Schraier has seen all corners of the United States, and that includes some time spent in the far Pacific Northwest. He drove to Washington last year after realizing that this part of the country was his least-explored and without any good reason. He was blown away by the experience, questioning why he hadn’t though so much about going there before. He blamed it on the rain; but once he got there he realized how well the locals handle it, and he quickly followed suit.
While there, his first stop was downtown Seattle, where he first went to the Space Needle and got to see the cityscape from one of the highest structures not only in the country, but in the world as well. Joby Schraier then went down to the harbor, where he hit up Pike’s Place market and partook in the fish-catching that happens with an assembly line of enthusiastic butchers and fisherman working together to put a whole new definition on the term “fly fishing”.
He also then went to the CenturyLink Field to catch a Seattle Seahawks game. With their Super Bowl win in 2013, it was the perfect year to catch all of the excitement and loud noise the stadium is known for. It was his most exciting live NFL game to date, which has also made him like the Seahawks that much more.
After the game, he drove up to Mt. Baker for a couple days of skiing on one of the most popular mountains in the country. Mt. Baker averages more snowfall each year than any other ski resort in America.
